Isabel Gomez ​

Isabel Gomez is a Newcastle based artist.  Born in Sydney. Studied Fine Arts at one of the most influential art schools in Australia, The Hunter Street TAFE Collage of Fine Arts, Newcastle, NSW Australia.

​

Isabel studied at TAFE from 1996 completing the Certificate of Fine Arts and then went on to graduated with distinction in the Diploma of Fine Arts in 1999. Isabel also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Newcastle University. Graduated in 2007. ​

​

​Damien Minton has been exhibiting Isabel's work since 2002.  Her work has matured over the years to be collected  within Australia and overseas.

​

Over the past few years Isabel's career has gone from strength to strength.  In 2010 she won the prestigious NSW Parliament House Plein Air Painting Prize.  In 2011 and 2012 Isabel's paintings of her partner and family dog were hung in the Portia Geach Painting Prize at the S.H. Ervin Gallery Sydney.  This year Isabel will be one of the entrants in the Paddington Art Prize. ​
